Richard Katz was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1995. He is also a licensed architect in Illinois and Wisconsin and a licensed real estate broker in Illinois. He has 14 years of transactional and litigation experience, serving hundreds of clients in the areas of land, building, and the environment.

Community Service

  • Environmental/Legal - five years of service on Oak Park's Barrie Park Citizens Advisory Committee, a liaison between the community, the local governmental bodies, and NICOR Gas and ComEd. Barrie Park, now a public park, was the site of a coal gasification plant. This urban remediation project was one of the largest of its kind in the U.S.  Mr. Katz's service was recognized by the community in 2006.  
  • Mr. Katz is currenly a member of the Greening Advisory Committee for the Park District of Oak Park.
  • Architectural - designed the site-built therapy structure known as the "Playground for All" at Holmes School in Oak Park. One of the first of its kind, this project received national recognition and a U.S. patent.

Of Counsel to the firm is attorney Kevin Alexander, who brings his expertise in all real estate related matters and is well known for his in-depth understanding of Illinois condominium laws and regulations.  Mr. Alexander also has over 20 years experience with estate planning, providing clients with wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for health care and property.  Mr. Alexander received his J.D. from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1984.
